Play Junior Cricket at Mont Albert CC
Welcome to Mont Albert Cricket Club, where we strongly believe in providing a fun and safe environment for persons of all ages and abilities to play competitive cricket. We are committed to working closely with our members and the wider Mont Albert community in order to achieve this goal.
Are you interested in playing junior cricket? If so, you’ve come to the right place. At Mont Albert CC we offer an extensive junior cricket program for children aged between 5 & 17 years.
In a normal season, we also offer a more specialised Junior Academy for children between 10 & 17 years of age. Unfortunately, due to COVID19, we are unable to offer this program in 2020-21.
See below for more information about our programs.

Our Programs
Junior Blasters
The Woolworths Cricket Blast Program (formally the Milo In2Cricket and Junior Blast programs), will be run again this season. This program is highly successful at introducing children to the game of cricket.
The Junior Blasters program teaches girls and boys the skills to play Australia’s favourite sport, through fun game based activities. This program is designed for children aged between 5 and 7 years of age. To read more about the program, please click here
The Master Blasters Program is designed to help transition children from entry level participation in cricket to more formal competition. At Master Blasters level kids get a chance to play modified games of cricket in a fun and social setting. This is designed for children aged between 7 and 10 years of age. The Woolworths Junior and Master Blasters programs will commence on Feb 5 2021.

Anywhere Cricket Blast is a FREE program that has been designed to keep kids engaged and involved in cricket during these challenging COVID times. We want to provide flexible options for kids to participate in a simple “at-home” cricket experience.
The program offers:
- A flexible program that can be participated from anywhere and with little to no cricket equipment.
- 6 x 20min pre-recorded interactive skill sessions, covering catching, batting and bowling.
- Weekly challenges
- Blasters can participate on their own along with the video content, or with a parent/guardian’s assistance
Juniors
Each season, Mont Albert CC enters teams in the Eastern Cricket Association (ECA). We have teams in the following age groups: U10, U12, & U16.
We have a long history of providing a successful junior program that balances child development, enjoyment and healthy competition.
We are also quite successful at providing a pathway into representative cricket, with a number of our current and former junior coaches being heavily involved in coaching representative cricket in the eastern suburbs, and a number of current juniors representing the ECA, Inner East Emus and other representative teams in junior carnivals.
Junior cricket games are played at the following times in a “home and away” fixture:
- U10 & U12 – Saturday mornings from 8:30am – 11:30am.
- U14 & U16 – Friday nights from 5:15pm – 8:15pm.
Fixtures are typically released in late September, and are located here
MACC aims to provide appropriate level coaches at each junior training session. This initiative is anticipated to provide MACC junior players with a great opportunity to develop their skills throughout the season in a one-on-one environment.
In September 2017, MACC opened a new state of the art training facility at Mont Albert Reserve. This facility includes four practice nets, that permits a range of training activities and drills to be conducted concurrently.
All training sessions are located at Mont Albert Reserve, Braemer St, Mont Albert North.
Specific training times and dates will be announced in September before the season commences.
